Sunguard Military Corps is an expansion of the Sunguard conglomerate, a Sith cult. Commonly abbreviated as SMC, the Sunguard Military Corps was created by Sunguard founder, Aries Rathakar.
It is common knowledge that Sunguard was created by Aries Rathakar after he deciphered some ancient sith scrolls that he found in an ancient temple his father was excavating. However a lesser known fact is that Rathakar did not in fact decipher all the scrolls he found. A great deal of the ancient knowledge and teachings of the Sunguard sect was left undeciphered by Aries as he set about recreating Sunguard proper.
Unfortunately for the Lightside, once Sunguard was fully autonomous Aries returned to deciphering the hidden riddles and secrets of the ancient Sunguard. It was then that he discovered that the Sunguard was not just a military cult focused on naval warfare, they also had a planet side division, the Sunguard Military Corps.
Rathakar quickly started making preparations for the formation of the SMC. He gathered people, found supplies, purchased equipment and appointed a strong leader from Sunguard to lead this new division of the Sunsect. However without a war to fight there was no need for the SMC, so Rathakar made a bold decision. To keep his groups skills sharp he had the Sunguard Military Corps start transporting goods while Sunguard continued to do the majority of the actual combat training.
Now the Sunguard Military Corps is ready to serve the galaxy. With a strong force of battle hardened pilots willing to do anything to keep the goods they transport safe, the SMC is quickly getting a name as one of the top transportation services anywhere.
